Season ticket prices frozen: The full media release reads as
follows:. West Bromwich Albion FC is
pleased to announce that season ticket prices for next season in the Premier
League will be the same as they were in the Nationwide First Division for
2002/03 season. Matchday ticket prices will show an
increase to reflect the smaller number of games that will be played in the
Premier League there will be 19 home league games as opposed to 23 in
the First Division. Season ticket prices will cover
the 19 Premier League matches only and no discount vouchers will be included.
Match ticket process will be the same for matchday and pre-matchday purchase as
it is anticipated that most tickets will be bought in advance. There will be no new Kids For A Quid tickets issued, nor
will there be any new season tickets issued in the Smethwick End. Existing
tickets in both categories can be renewed. Chief
executive John Wile said, The Club is very keen to ensure that those
supporters who have followed us in such numbers in recent years will still be
able to do so in the Premier League. We feel that by maintaining season ticket
prices at last years level, we have shown the same loyalty towards them
as they have towards us.
