 Larus an Icelandic international, is a solid defender, his main
strength appears to be a keen anticipation that often sees him as the right man
in the right place. A terrible cruciate knee ligament injury, sustained during
Gary Megson’s first game in charge, at Stockport in March 2000, robbed us
of his quality in the crucial run-in last term and forced Gary into the
transfer market, bringing in Tony Butler to play in central defence.
