 Ruel finally signed for the Baggies at the end of August 2000
after a long-running transfer saga, which united him with to rejoin former
playing colleague Gary Megson. Ruel's trickery on the ball allied to his
experience and the demands he places on his colleagues have helped push Albion
turn from relgation battlers to promotion contenders, as he has become central
to our attacking strategy, culminating in his goal for the club, the opener
against Sheffield United at the Hawthorns in January 2001. Looks to be a total
bargin.s |
